All About me, Logistic and Jakarta State APP Polytechnic

             My name is Rizky Ramadhan. I’m 18 years old. Now, I get my study in Jakarta State APP Polytechnic and I get my study in Logistic Management for Electronic Industry major and I’m in 1^st semester now.

          In Logistic Management for Electronic major, I learn about activities what save the product (row materials, goods in process and finish goods), transportation, distribution and delivery service.

          In 1^st semester, students learn about warehouse management. Warehouse management consists of:

1. Warehousing layout:

            In this lesson, I learn about how to design layout for a warehouse. Before create layout, I should analysis some aspect: space need in warehouse, capacity of warehouse, priority scale when determine layout a warehouse, and I must design the layout with effective and efficient according to analysis before design the layout.

2. Material handling for electronic Industry

            In this lesson, I learn about technical of removal, transport, warehousing or distribution goods (row material, goods in process and finish good) with manual or mechanic.

            Material handling educate student choose material handling methods and risk when removal or transport gods with manual or mechanic for healthy.

3. Warehouse management

            In this lesson, I learn about how to manage operations of warehouse from receive goods, storage until distribution to customer. In this lesson I learn about process how to gods receive in warehouse until distribution and documents for operational a warehouse.

4. Supply chain management

            Supply chain management activity about flow and transportation of goods from row material until customer. (Ling Li). In this lesson, I learn about strategic to choose supplier, inventory management, calculate effective and efficient cost to transport goods, distribution and transportation management, inventory management and determine mount of order goods if the company wants to get cheap price (EOQ).

          Education system in Jakarta State APP Polytechnic created more than just knowledge, but education system also created with competence basis. In competence curriculum, students in Logistic Management for Electronic major should have skills and attitude about logistic management.

                    After graduate from Jakarta State APP Polytechnich, I wanna be an entrepreneur. I want to start my own logistic business.
